Cathedral of the Risen Christ

A cathedral is always known as the spiritual home of its diocese. The title of our Cathedral of the Risen Christ exemplifies the resurrection of Jesus in its art and furnishings, and in this cathedral the Presence of Christ in the Blessed Sacrament in the tabernacle is the focus of silent, perpetual adoration.

To all persons who are Catholic, and to friends who are not, a most cordial welcome is given to visit and pray in this cathedral.

Message from Our Priests

Dear Brothers and Sisters:

Welcome to the website of the Cathedral of the Risen Christ!

Cathedral is a very vibrant, active and faith-filled community of believers. God has been so good to us, and we certainly are among the most blessed people in the entire world. Our hope is that this website helps us to grow even more as a parish family by communicating the many ways we can assist each other on life’s journey to Heaven. Let us daily pray for each other and our parish family as we strive to grow in the love of our Risen Lord Jesus Christ.

God bless you.

Perpetual Adoration

Perpetual Adoration was started at Cathedral in 1959. Twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, there is a person praying in the presence of Jesus in the Tabernacle. As one adorer put it: “When I come to my hour with you, Lord Jesus, my soul takes on a loving peace which I cannot explain.” You can be a regular or substitute adorer.
