See below for a list of nominees:

Joe Cowan: My wife Jude and I have been Cathedral Parishioners for 6 years. Jude works at Pius, our son Thomas is a junior at UNL, and our daughter Kathleen is a senior at Pius. I was born and raised here in Lincoln having attended Blessed Sacrament, Pius and UNL. After 11 years on active duty in the US Marine Corps, I served for 20 years as a Special Agent in the FBI before retiring to pursue school safety and security consulting for K-12 Catholic schools across Nebraska. Three decades of service to our country have taken me and my family all over the world. Our travels and each move have provided the opportunity to personally experience The Universal Church and membership in many parishes. Through volunteering with the Knights of Columbus, participating in 'Forged,' and other parish activities, I have become acutely aware of how tremendously blessed we are to be members of Cathedral Parish. I'm honored to be a nominee for Pastoral Council and grateful for your consideration to allow me to serve God and our parish in this important role.

Ashley DeWispelare: I’ve been a parishioner at Cathedral for 15 years and a teacher at Cathedral School for 13 years. My husband Nolan and I have 5 children, 4 of them will be students at Cathedral School in the fall! I am very involved in the school community and would love to help our parish and school be even more connected. Thank you for your consideration!

Bill Feltes: My name is Bill Feltes. My wife and I have been members of Cathedral parish for 39 years. We have 6 grown children, all who have attended Cathedral grade school and Pius X High School. I am an acolyte/EME, a member of the perpetual adoration program, and have assisted with many Light of the World parish retreats at Cathedral and many parish events. I would be honored to serve on parish council assisting in continuing the good work here at Cathedral.

Tricia Florea: My name is Tricia Florea, and I would be honored to serve our parish as a member of the Pastoral Council. I grew up in the parish and attended Cathedral School from kindergarten through eighth grade. While earning my teaching degree and master’s degree in college, I stayed connected to our parish by teaching CCD. In 1999, my husband, Mitch, and I were married at Cathedral before moving out of state in 2005. When we returned to Lincoln in 2012, we were grateful to rejoin our Cathedral family. One of my greatest joys has been raising our daughter in the Catholic faith and giving back to our parish through involvement within the church. Over the past two years, I served as President of the PCCW and currently serve as Circle Leader of St. Anne’s. I would be honored to use my experience in education and servant leadership, along with my deep commitment to our faith, to represent you, our parishioners, on the Cathedral Pastoral Council.

Aaron May: My name is Aaron May. I grew up in Cathedral and attended Pius before leaving town for college. I married Becky Dawson in 1999 who also attended Cathedral and Pius. We have seven kids ranging from 9 to 26 with our last three (Suzy, Philomena, and John Paul) all attending some of their school at Cathedral. We have been back in the parish for a little over a year. We both have adoration hours, Becky teaches CCD, and I acolyte. Being engaged in our Church and School has always been a critical part of how we live out our stewardship and give back to our Lord. I am currently on the St Gregory Seminary Board. I have served on the Blessed Sacrament Pastoral and Finance Councils. We spent ten years giving Engaged Encounter weekends and led two Godteen groups over the years. I would be honored to be a part of Cathedral’s pastoral council and support how God is working through our parish.

Ashley Schueth: My name is Ashley Schueth (maiden name Benes) and Cathedral Parish has been my spiritual home for my entire life. I grew up attending Cathedral School and Cathedral Church, where I received all of my sacraments. On Nov. 14, 2009, I married my husband, Jake, at Cathedral, and together we are blessed with three children—Luke (8th grade), Mark (5th grade) and Violet (2nd grade), all of whom currently attend Cathedral School. My love for Cathedral runs deep. The faith, traditions, and community that have shaped my life are now helping to shape the lives of our children. I am passionate about our parish and school community and grateful for the many ways Cathedral has enriched our family’s faith journey. As someone who values service, community, and our Catholic faith, I would be honored to serve on the Pastoral Council. I look forward to the opportunity to listen, collaborate, and help strengthen our parish so that Cathedral continues to be a welcoming and vibrant home for many.

Tim Sealock: First and foremost, I am honored to be nominated to be part of the Parish Council. Cathedral of the Risen Christ is my home. I grew up at Cathedral. I went to school at Cathedral. I married my wife, Tracy, at Cathedral almost 26 years ago. I have 3 children: Kylen, Ajay, and Mak, who all attended Cathedral School. I am a lector and acolyte and find it extremely fulfilling being an active participant in the Mass. I spend a great deal of time in all things Knights of Columbus. I have been the Recorder for our Knights Council for the last 4 years. You can find me frying fish during Lent in the Knights’ tent or mowing the Church grounds in the summer with the Knights mowing crew. The Knights have a Holy Hour of adoration of which I am one of several adorers. I recently spent 4 years on the Nebraska State Knights of Columbus program staff as the Youth Chairman. As life has a tendency to change, Cathedral Parish has remained a constant and is where I have met several friends to share in my faith and fellowship.
