A cathedral is always known as the spiritual home of its diocese. The title of our Cathedral of the Risen Christ exemplifies the resurrection of Jesus in its art and Furnishings, and in the cathedral the Presence of Christ in the Blessed Sacrament in the tabernacle is the focus of silent, perpetual adoration.
To all person who are Catholic, and to friends who are not, a most cordial welcome is given to visit and pray in this cathedral.
BISHOP JAMES D. CONLEY
Adoration is when Jesus, truly present in the Eucharist, is placed in the monstrance, so that we may spend time with him. At Cathedral, we are blessed to have a Perpetual Adoration chapel, which means Jesus is there 24/7 waiting to spend time with us.
In celebration of 65 years of Perpetual Adoration at Cathedral of the Risen Christ, we interviewed Cathedral School students asking what they love about going to Adoration.
You're invited to stop into the adoration chapel any time of the day. If you're interested in signing up for a weekly holy hour or if you'd like to be added to the list of subs, use our Cathedral Adoration Pro link to sign up. To learn more about Adoration Pro and how to sign up click here.
